SAFC NASA held their Inaugural AGM in New York the weekend of May 10 & 11, 2014.
AGM - announced the first official committee and welcomed Sunderland AFC legend, and 1973 FA Cup Winner, Ritchie Pitt. Pitt gave a wonderful account of his SAFC history, captivating all in attendance. SAFC NASA attended the New York Red Bulls versus Chicago Fire and witnessed a nine goal thriller (Fire downing Red Bulls 5-4). The Sunderland collective joined together to spur on SAFC against Swansea in the final game of the EPL season before painting the town red (& white!). A superb weekend for all involved - highlights include.... Two Gary Rowell's, the prostate challenge, Prefab Sprout, Longshanks, abusing THE Chopper Harris (in a nice way!), doorways, facials, being 'educated' by a staunch Celtic supporter (who drank pints of gin and must have been related to Rockefeller), mile-high, the longest radio interview EVER, Choruses of "Have you ever seen a Geordie on the Moon?", being heard on Sirius XM radio, meeting Ritchie Pitt, Pavement Pizza at Tiffany's, and Paul's superb bowel control! Did I mention falling down stairs? Ooooo, ahhhh, we're staying up ya kna, ooooo, ahhh........ Full meeting minutes can be downloaded, right. |
